Buyer
Develop, direct, and implement company purchasing management processes to provide an uninterrupted supply of goods and services to support operations. Ensure timely delivery, optimal quality, and maximized investment in support of production.
EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
Two to three years chain supply and outsourcing experience preferred. Must have five to ten years machining experience and the ability to read and understand blue prints. Ability to travel domestic or international up to 10%.
In-depth knowledge of MRP-based materials control, including planning, purchasing, and inventory.
Working knowledge of Finance and Accounting systems and procedures with ability to interface and work payment/credit supplier issues.
Working knowledge of machining, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering concepts in order to assign and direct commodity buyers and develop a liaison between Engineering and suppliers.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes to participate in make/buy decisions and direct the purchase of outside resources.
